Mod Post!
Hey, guys!
First off, I would like to thank the players who helped get this ball rolling again, and the people who have waited patiently for the game to reopen after unanticipated events last December. I would especially like to extent my gratitude to those who helped restore this game's info pages to how they should look. You are all amazing.
That being said, I am going to try to keep this short and simple.
Guys and Dolls is heading for its re-launch. Once the game has ten characters, it will reopen.
There will be some changes to the game, but nothing major. Just some tweaks here and there. This will be a trial period, basically to see which changes work and which do not. After reopening, players and their characters will also have far more of an active impact on the game's plot. Believe it or not, the game does have an overarching plot. It's about time that players and their characters had a real effect on that.
Before any of that can happen however, it needs players. This is where you come in.
For those who played in the previous Guys and Dolls, applying is as simple as filling out the form below. If you played in the previous game within the last twelve months - even if you dropped the character in that time - you can reapply by filling out this form.
For the most part, this is literally all you need do in order to rejoin the game. The reapps are subject to a case by case basis, but this is more a formality than anything else.
Basically, we're asking players to let us know the Guys and Dolls journal they used on Livejournal, and the one they plan on using on Dreamwidth. Then we will look over the thread links provided and once those check out, we will reply asking the player's relevant Dreamwidth journal to join the communities.
All returning characters can keep their memories of course, but players also have the option of resetting them completely, should they want a fresh start.
For those applying fresh, reserves and applications will both open in three days, giving former players opportunity to pick up their characters first, should they wish to.
Once again, the game will open as soon as it has ten characters. More information on the changes happening to the game - again, nothing major - will be announced on the game's opening day.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. There is a question thread right here.
